During our anniversary trip to Monterey, we stumbled upon an extraordinary activity that added a delightful twist to our celebration. We decided to indulge in a walk-in wine blending experience, which turned out to be an incredibly fun and memorable event. They are open from 2pm to 9pm Monday to Friday, Noon to 9pm on Saturday and Noon to 8pm on Sunday.
We chose to go on a Monday and arrived right when they opened. The staff member on duty was very welcoming and provided us with a thorough explanation of the process. He even offered us samples of the various red wines available, allowing us to select the four we liked best for our blending session. Throughout our time there, he skillfully managed to attend to other customers while also checking in on us to see if we needed anything or had any questions.
The blending experience itself was a joy. We got to experiment with the four chosen wines, mixing and matching them to create what we felt was the perfect blend. It felt like a throwback to high school science class but with a much tastier result!
To top it all off, we were able to email a photo and custom wording for a personalized label. They then bottled our unique blend and adorned it with our special label, making it a one-of-a-kind souvenir from our trip.
As we engaged in our wine blending, we also enjoyed a delightful cheese flight, which perfectly complemented the experience.
Overall, this wine-blending adventure was an unexpected highlight of our trip, adding a personal and enjoyable touch to our anniversary celebration in Monterey.
