It is conveniently, located within a short car ride to Fisherman’s Wharf, Cannery Row, Monterey County Fairgrounds, and more. You are also close enough that you can walk. You can also catch a free trolly downtown and ride it through Fisherman’s Wharf and Cannery Row.

The hotel does not look big when you first arrive as there are two floors to the main building, but there is a second three-story building across the street behind the main building. They no longer offer breakfast, but they do offer coffee and juice during office hours. Overall our stay was pleasant and we would stay again.

Review Summary

Review Summary

  • Staff and Check-in:
    • Friendly front office staff.
    • Smooth check-in process.
  • Room Description:
    • We stayed in room 102, near the front office with parking right in front of the room.
    • Normal-sized room furnished with a king bed, chair, desk with a chair, two drawers, and a cabinet.
    • Small TV (likely due to the expectation that guests won’t spend much time watching TV).
    • The main room window fully opens to allow in the breeze.
    • The gap under the door allowed a lot of light into the room and blackout curtains left gaps on the sides for light to enter, not easy to sleep in.
    • The laundry room is located next to the room, we did not hear any noise from the machines, but the maids standing outside the room or in front of our window having full drawn-out conversations in the early morning was inconvenient.
    • The bathroom is a nice size, standard tub with a shower. The water pressure was good and heated quickly.
    • There is full-size body wash and shampoo in the shower.
    • The bathroom window does not open, and the small vent fan is not very strong.
    • The bed is on the firm side and the pillows are hard and small, but they provide four.
  • Parking:
    • Parking can be tricky in the evening as there are not enough spots for all rooms in the main building.
    • There is plenty of street parking behind the building, but be cautious of parking rules posted to avoid being towed.
  • Additional Amenities:
    • Closet with hangers, luggage stand, extra blanket, iron, and ironing board.
    • Coffee maker, microwave, and mini refrigerator included.
