We are sorry for the long post but there are so many beautiful animals to see and fun things to do at Seaworld we wanted to make sure you had a good taste of what you can expect to find.
Seaworld is a 22-acre marine zoological park located in Mission Bay Park in San Diego and was founded in 1964 by four students from the University of California, Los Angeles.
Seaworld is open 7 days a week, check the website for current times as they do change by season. Also, remember that Seaworld is cashless, if you do not want to use your credit or debit card there are cash-to-card machines throughout the park. You can load up to $500, the card is not reloadable but can be used anywhere Visa is accepted so if you do not use it all at the park, you can use it elsewhere. All Day Locker rentals are located adjacent to Guest Services inside the park. The starting price for a jumbo locker is $20 per day and $15 per day for a standard locker. Cash and credit are accepted. Hourly lockers are available and located at the entrance to Electric Eel, Journey To Atlantis, Manta, and Shipwreck Rapids. An hourly locker is $2 for the first hour and $3 for each additional hour. Parking for a single car or motorcycle starts at $25 for General Parking, starts at $28 for Up-Close Parking, and starts at $35 for VIP Parking. It is advisable to purchase your parking pass online ahead of time. Hard and soft coolers, glass containers, food such as sandwiches, meals, snacks, etc., and flavored drinks may not be taken into the park.
Seaworld through the Waves of Honor program, military personnel, and up to three direct dependents may enjoy one complimentary admission to SeaWorld San Diego. This offer extends to any U.S. active duty military member, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman. Service members and their direct dependents need to present a valid active military ID to participate.
Veterans are also through our Waves of Honor program, former military personnel and up to three friends or family members may enjoy complimentary admission to SeaWorld® San Diego. Excludes separately ticketed events. Veterans can also purchase up to six additional tickets at 50% off and purchase four All-Day Dining Deals for just $150.
The all-day dining pass is the way to go for your dining needs. You will not be hungry all day and only spend extra if there is something special you want that is not included with the pass. The dining pass allows you to visit a participating restaurant once every 90 minutes to receive 1 entrée, plus 1 side or dessert and 1 soft beverage or iced tea. Passes are not valid for water bottles or alcoholic beverages.
There are several other add-on options such as dining with Orca’s. Check out the website for current offerings. The park is large and there is so much to see and do, you definitely will want to plan a full day at the park. You can download their phone app with a map and plan out your day. Spend some time reviewing the times for the shows you would like to view and plan your day to maximize your time.
As you can see from the map there are so many fun things to do for all ages from rides, shows, animal exhibits, and more. Take your time and have fun. It will be memories that will last forever.
