6015 S Virginia St Reno, NV 89502 – http://legendsgrillreno.com

We ventured over to this local hangout located in a strip mall one evening during our trip to Reno to watch the UFC pay-per-view fight as they were one of the few places, we found that was showing the fight without a cover charge and it was close enough to our hotel that we walked there and then taking a Lyft ride back would not break the bank. One thing I want to warn everyone about is that there are some gigantic potholes in the parking lot so if you are driving be very careful.

Watch out for the craters.

It is a very relaxing environment because a lot of locals hang out. They have an oval shaped bar in the center of the location with seating and some bar-top gaming but not easy to find a seat as that is where the locals hang out. There is plenty of other seating with a number of TVs to choose from to watch whatever sporting event might be playing at the time of your visit. Walk in and seat yourself, moments later a server will greet you. Everyone was very nice and friendly.

This will be one of our go-to places to enjoy sports and relax away from the crowded casinos.

They do offer food, it is your typical bar fare, but a little more upscale from peanuts and chips. As well as a nice selection of draft beers, and other drinks.

All the food is cooked to order, so especially with the wings it can take some time, around 15 minutes for wings, but it is worth it and knowing you are getting fresh food is a plus.

We ordered garlic fries for $5.95 … seasoned with house seasoning and ranch. You can also get a half order for $2.95, add garlic for $1 and/or cheese for $1.50. We love garlic fries, so we ordered a regular order of fries with garlic. Upon the suggestion of the waitress, we added a little drizzle of malt vinegar to the fries. These were some of the best fries, fried to a crispy perfection, the house seasoning is wonderful not overly salty, loads of garlic and the malt vinegar was just that bit of extra to push them over the top.

Legendary Wings – $12.95 … 12 wings served with ranch, celery & carrots. Comes with a choice of sauces mild, hot, nuclear, honey BBQ, teriyaki, smokey BBQ, buffalo, or “Nutty” sauce. Of course, since we like it hot, we choose nuclear. The wings were crispy and cooked perfectly. The sauce had a good flavor a little heavy on the vinegar, but they were not extremely hot, when you think nuclear you think of dripping sweat from your brow which did not happen.

So, this is a highly recommended place, if you are in the area and looking for a quiet place to relax for a little while this is the place for you.
