We love all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ and have it often, when planning our trip to Reno and researching restaurants, Ijji 4 popped up in the search and we discovered it was on our way into Reno. So, we decided it was the perfect place to take a break from the drive and grab lunch.
Now the one rule of going to an all-you-can-eat is to arrive hungry. So that is what we did we had a small breakfast before we left, so we were starving when we arrived.
When you enter the front door, you first notice the beautiful water wall feature, and are immediately greeted as you walk in. It was not busy when we arrived, and we were seated quickly. As we were seated, we were asked what we would like to drink and our go to with Korean BBQ is Sapporo. Our table was already seat with the “Banchan” side dishes and house salad. The salad was very fresh and not overly dressed as it sometimes is. We also asked for a side of lettuce leaves so we could make little lettuce wraps with our grilled meat.
The all-you-can-eat comes with unlimited appetizers, soup, and stews but a couple of items that are al a carte only and several meat choices. They also have soups, noodles, and mixed rice dishes you can purchase if you would like. You start off being able to choose a couple of appetizers and 3-4 meats. So, we always have 4-5 rounds before we are stuffed. Be aware that most all-you-can-eat places usually have around a two-hour limit at most restaurants, so you have plenty of time to pace and enjoy it.
Along with the Banchan and sauces, we also ordered garlic in olive oil, extra seasoning, and lettuce leaves to make wraps.
Appetizers: Pot Stickers, Vegetable Spring Rolls, BBQ Chicken Wings, JapChae, Kimchi Fried Rice, Steamed Rice, Korean Miso Soup, Scallion Salad. We also ordered the Seafood Pancake al a carte ($12.95).
Meats: Angus Prime Brisket, U.S. Kobe Bulgogi, Beef Belly, Seasoned Pork Belly, Korean Spicy Pork, Spicy Chicken Bulgogi, Spicy Baby Octopus,
Vegetables: Mushroom, Onion, Sweet Potato, Zucchini, Pineapple
At the end of the meal they bring you a mochi dessert, which is refreshing and the perfect end.
We came we ate, and we conquered … believe me when I say the portions they bring you look small, they are filling. This will be a must-stop for us anytime we pass by. It is on the outskirts of Reno but conveniently located off the freeway so you don’t have to detour too far.
