2735 W Coast Hwy Newport Beach, CA 92663 – Website
The Rusty Pelican is located along the coastal highway offering beautiful dining views while enjoying spectacular food. The restaurant has been a beloved dining destination for locals and visitors alike since 1972.
We dined at the restaurant with a large group attending a work conference with the hubby. It would have been better to see if they had a private room or somewhere better to accommodate us. We were seated in an awkward corner area a couple of steps above other dinners and at 3-4 tables below the corner setting. So it was a very tight fit and uncomfortable. So, we will dine on our own or in a small group the next time we visit Newport Beach for a more personal experience. The food was excellent though and we can not wait to try them again.
They offer paid valet parking, we take Lyft from our hotel, but looking at the parking lot if you are driving yourself, pay for them to park you, it looked like a nightmare. The main entrance has stairs, but there is a handicap side access that does not have any stairs if that works better for you.
We noticed there was access to the pier, we do not know if it is public access, but it did seem as if you could drive your boat up pack, and dine in the restaurant.
