If you are looking for a place to dine for a special occasion or want an amazing steak and cost is no concern, then this is the place for you. In the Financial District of San Francisco at 244 Jackson Street (Front Street and Battery Street). We visited for a friend’s birthday party and it is one of those places that we will most likely say we visited once and never visit again.

As stated on the website they opened in 2009 the name 5A5 is derived from the five senses – Sight, Sound, Smell, Taste, and Touch – a sensory experience when indulging in the highest grade A5 Japanese Wagyu and showcasing the food of Chef Cat Wang.

As with most high-end steakhouses you order your protein and then all the sides are at an additional cost, so with that in mind you will spend around $100 to $120 per person. If you want to splurge and treat yourself you can do the 5A5 Experience and get 4 ounces of each of the four cuts for Japanese Wagyu for $442. Hubby ordered a bone in Rib-Eye, it was huge and more than enough for us to share.
